I'll be honest, the joke got stale... I've moved my thoughts to a blog that I've kept updated more weekdays than not:
You have reached the Nexus of Networked Orthodoxy for the Web. We are at the very beginningest of our beginnings, and these pages will fluctuate greatly as we 'settle in'. We apologize in advance for any buggy inconveniences that may arise.
We hope you enjoy your stay.
This is a living Web. Much will change with no set pattern or schedule, the result of organic growth through the contributions of all who visit. Nothing in these pages will be static, however much it may sometimes seem, as dynamic change is the lifeblood of the internet. Stagnation is the Webkiller.
This is the Nexus of Networked Orthodoxy for the Web, a nucleus of ideas and activity dedicated to improving all of Hyperspace. We find it a self-evident truth that the Internet has become a powerful entity in our everyday world. It has the power to enlighten or enslave, but only through how it is allowed to grow by all who use it. That's an awesome responsiblity we can't afford to leave to the heartless or greedy.
Technology is swiftly growing in ways that will make the Web an inevitable part of countless lives. Before that goes too far, we have to make sure that this growth is in ways that are beneficial to the people it touches. We must make the Web safe for Humanity, and to do that, we must make Humanity safe for the Web.
To that end, our primary goal is to promote and support The Big 10, the Ten Commandments for the Web that will better enable us to work together to improve the Web. The Nexus of NOW, or Nowism, is a freligion (or freeligion, or freereligion, or what-have-you), and we will always endeavor to make our core tenets and support available for free here on the Web. We may be joking most of the time, but we're serious about accomplishing our goals for ourselves, and for the Web. We feel that everyone should be able to participate in and benefit from what we have to offer, regardless of background.
Thank you for joining us here. You are invited to visit us often, as a guest or as a member. The only dues are an open mind and a heart dedicated to the benefit of all netizens (including yourself). The only requirement is that you observe our rules and guidelines. If you can't behave, you can't be here.
Enjoy.
